The Pomegaverse is a softer and sweeter take on the Omegaverse with a pomeranian twist. It's a fanworks trend that began in Japanese fandom circles circa February 2021.
In these works, a human character experiences so much stress that they transform into a Pomeranian dog. They can only revert back to their human form if the stress is relieved via receiving love and affection from their loved ones (or their Master).
POMEGA
Pomegas turn into a pomeranian when stressed, tired, unhappy or for whatever reason. Sometimes a Pomega can get stuck as a Pomeranian and will need the love and pampering from their loved ones or their Master, to turn back into their humanselves again.
A Pomega will always know they're a Pomega, because honestly it'll probably be hard to miss the fact that they can turn into a Pomeranian, but in the rare cases a Pomega might probably not know of their a Pomega status until they turn into a Pomeranian later in life.
MASTER
Masters feel the instinctive and biological urge to comfort and cherish Pomegas and are able to help a Pomega change back into a human by loving them and showering them with affection and pampering them. A Master's love and affection and pampering sometimes tends to work far better on their Pomega than a normal person’s would.
A Master might not know of their constitution until they actually encounter a Pomega — or in some cases their fated Pomega, but adding the concept of a fated match to your worldbuilding isn't necessary if it doesn't work for your story.
Because the Pomegaverse takes inspiration from the Omegaverse, some Pomegaverse stories might feature estrus cycles and nesting typical to the OV. Though, again if it doesn't work for your worldbuilding it doesn't have to be included.
The Pomegaverse is still a relatively new take on the Omegaverse, and honestly it’s just meant as a fluffy and sweet experience that can be used as a breather from the angst a typical Omegaverse can tend to be.
