The Recipe

Yields: 1 large mug


Ingredients:

路 1 cup of water

路 1 Peppermint tea bag (or your favorite herbal tea)

路 2-4 whole cloves

路 1 Cinnamon stick

路 陆 teaspoon of powdered turmeric

路 A few thin slices of fresh ginger root

路 1 teaspoon of raw, unfiltered honey


Instructions:

1. Prep Your Mug: In your favorite drinking mug, place 1 teaspoon of raw, unfiltered honey, 2-4 whole cloves, the cinnamon stick, and 陆 teaspoon of powdered turmeric. Set aside.

2. Prep the Pot: In your coffee pot (or a small saucepan), add the peppermint tea bag and the fresh slices of ginger root.

3. Brew: Fill the coffee pot with water and start the brew cycle. If using a saucepan, bring the water with the tea bag and ginger to a gentle simmer and let it steep for 4-5 minutes.

4. Combine: Once the water is brewed/simmered, let it sit for a minute or two so it's not boiling hot. Carefully pour the hot, infused water from the pot into your prepared mug.

5. Steep & Stir: Let the mug sit for another minute to allow the hot water to fully steep the cloves and cinnamon stick. Then, give it a really good stir. This is crucial to fully dissolve the honey and turmeric powder that may have settled at the bottom.

6. Sip and Enjoy: Find a quiet spot, wrap your hands around the warm mug, and take a slow, mindful sip. Mmmm. It is so, so good.
