From a Hotel Room to a Townhouse: How I Built a Six-Figure Business While Living in Transition

June 5th, 2026.

I woke up in my own bedroom. In my own townhouse. With my own front door that has a vintage grunge witchy look that I plan to decorate the hell out of.

And I cried.

Not sad tears. Relief tears. Gratitude tears. The kind that come from deep in your gut when you realize you made it through something that almost broke you.

For six months, I lived in transition.

One month in a hotel. Five months in an extended stay. All while building a Six-Figure Spiritualist brand from the corner of a single room.

People ask me how I did it. So I'm going to tell you.

The Timeline

· November 2025: Moved into a hotel. No kitchen. No space. Just a bed, a bathroom, and a dream I was too scared to say out loud.

· January 2026: Extended stay. Slightly bigger. A tiny kitchenette. Enough room for a small altar in the corner.

· January - May 2026: Worked every single day. Went live. Did readings. Created content. Cried. Prayed. Air wrote on ceilings. Blessed my daughter while she slept.

· June 5th, 2026: Moved into a 2-bedroom townhouse. Keys in my hand. My energy in every room.

Six months. From a hotel to a home.

How I Made It Through

Here are the tips. No fluff. Just what actually worked.

1. I stopped waiting for perfect conditions.

I didn't have a studio. I didn't have good lighting. I didn't have privacy half the time. I stopped waiting for "someday" and started working with what I had. A corner of a room. A ring light. A phone. That's it.

2. I protected my energy like a dragon guards gold.

I stopped explaining myself. Stopped begging people to understand. Stopped letting family drama, friend drama, or client drama live in my head rent-free. If it drained me, I cut it. Fast.

3. I anchored myself to my ancestors.

Every single day, I lit a candle. Every single day, I prayed. Every single day, I reminded myself that I come from survivors. They didn't make it through slavery, segregation, and sacrifice for me to give up in an extended stay.

4. I created rituals to keep my mind right.

Air writing. Affirmations. Visualization. Cord cutting on myself before I ever did it for clients. I treated my mindset like a garden — pulled the weeds daily.

5. I let my Tribe help me.

I hate asking for help. But I learned that refusing help is pride, not strength. My Purple Door Council fed me. Paid for my room. Sent gas money. Sent prayers. And I stopped pretending I could do it alone.

6. I kept my eyes on the six-figure goal.

Not the hotel room. Not the struggle. Not the people who doubted me. The GOAL. I wrote it down. Said it out loud. Visualized it every morning. And I refused to let my circumstances dictate my destiny.

Why Building a Six-Figure Business Changed My Life

It wasn't about the money.

It was about what the money represented.

Freedom. The ability to leave a job that was killing my spirit.

Choice. The power to say yes to what aligned and no to what didn't.

Dignity. The knowledge that I built this. With my hands. My voice. My gifts.

Legacy. My daughter watched me struggle. Now she's watching me WIN.

The six-figure goal wasn't a number. It was a declaration that I belonged in rooms I'd never been invited into.

And now? I'm sitting in my own bedroom. Writing this blog. About to go make me a cup of coffee. Looking around in awe.

I made it.

What I Want You to Know

If you're in a hotel right now. Or a shelter. Or a spare room at somebody else's house. Or a car.

You are not your circumstances.

You are not stuck forever.

You can build while you're struggling. You can create while you're crying. You can manifest while you're sleeping on somebody's couch.

Start where you are. Use what you have. Protect your energy. Anchor to something bigger than yourself.

And don't give up before the miracle happens.

I didn't.

And now I'm home.
