I still remember the excitement of doing the automatic calibration on a Panasonic TV many years ago - it felt like magic, having TV and calibration software talk to each other and adjust the picture parameters. That's why I'm happy that Portrait Displays is continuing support with 2026 Panasonic TVs.
Portrait Displays has announced that select flagship models in Panasonic's expanded 2026 US TV lineup will support Calman Ready integration, giving studio professionals, retailers and home theater enthusiasts direct calibration access between the TV and Portrait Displays' Calman color calibration software.
Built on Calman's AutoCal technology and the AURORA COLOR ENGINE® algorithms, the feature automates hardware calibration across Panasonic's 2026 OLED, QD-Mini LED, and QLED sets (brought to the US market by SKYWORTH USA), following up on the FireOS-based Calman Ready TVs the two companies launched together in 2025.
The standout feature is Calman Calibrated Mode, which unlocks dedicated, professionally calibrated picture presets for SDR day and night viewing, HDR (including Dolby Vision), and gaming - but only after the TV has actually been run through a Calman calibration session, unlike the generic picture modes TVs ship with out of the box.
Once calibrated, these modes show up in the OSD and can be set as defaults. The 2026 Panasonic lineup is expected at US retailers starting this month, though which specific models get the Calman Ready treatment will vary.
