The Young Scholar’s Book Club offers live and online educational workshops during the summer. Workshops take place in either June or July. Information about the summer workshops are posted in advance before school ends. Each summer TYSBC offers educational workshops that provide hands-on and online activities for students Pre-K to 4th grade.

The Young Scholar’s Book Club Summer Workshop

Tuition: $20.00
In this workshop students who are Pre-K to 4th grade will do hands on activities that will prepare them for the upcoming school year. Students will receive a copy of “The Young Scholar’s Workbook: Book I Vol. I.” The instructor will model lesson activities from the workbook. Students will also work in grade level groups to complete activities. Students will also receive information about other educational resources to take home to parents.

Solving Math Problems At The Grocery Store. In this workshop students will solve word problems, regular math problems using addition, subtraction, multiplication and division to calculate grocery prices. Students will get hands on activities learning about grocery shopping, prices, measurements, barcodes, ingredients, sales taxes, shopping with coupons, and sales papers.
