There has been a proposal to delay the adoption of sector-specific standards under CSRD until June 2026. This delay will allow the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG) additional time to develop new standards and ease regulatory burdens on companies. Despite this, companies are advised to start preparing now, especially as the first set of sector-specific standards will be available for public consultations in early 2025 (link to article).
