happy spring, my friends!
this year has been so fulfilling and wholesome with all these crafty little endeavors. my little club has grown so much since i started in december, and i couldn’t be more grateful. i know i say that every time i speak to you guys but i genuinely can’t express it enough!
my theme this month is special to me. i’ve decided to design spring in new york city in my pov. spring into summer and the winter’s gone … once said lizzy mcalpine. the coming of sunny days and bright weather literally heals something within us all, and makes me crave adventure and extra whimsy. when i think of spring in new york, i think of walking in the park, riding a bike, blasting happy music, exploring parts of the city i’ve never been to, grabbing a nice iced drink. i’ve been in a strawberry matcha kick this past year, but its especially hitting different in this weather. a perfect day in the city includes such drink and a little trinket/stationary store hopping.
i used a brooklyn subway map in my postcard this month. fun fact, when i first discovered tiktok during the pandemic (like the rest of us) i got inspired to start painting again, and this month’s spread i repurposed some of that art. in the map, and in some of the stickers! i was born and raised in brooklyn, but in my last year of college, i moved to long island.
once a new york city girl, always a new york city girl.
