Hot mess express my name is Jess. I'm a full-time nurse, writer and when time allows it I love to doodle. A few years ago I tried drawing with a deadline and quickly became obsessed with this timed art style. I make all creations in under 5 minutes and 23 seconds or 23 minutes and 23 seconds.

Everything posted is created exclusively with marker or pen, no pencils, no erasing. Each piece is a get-what-you-get creation, embracing raw energy, expressive movement and emotion over traditional perfection.

This process allows the lines to remain honest, uninterrupted, and energetic, capturing the immediacy of the moment rather than striving for polished realism. It's a style I stand by as it's grounded in the beauty of imperfection. I want to warn everyone that I am not a photographer and will be the first person to admit I'm a 98 year old woman when it comes to technology. Please be kind and patient with me while I navigate this new terrain.
