I know, I know. Get serious. Hello! Life is far too busy and STRESSFUL to go around pretending like meditating every day can solve all your problems.


I hear that..


I used to believe that myself.


But I got desperate.

I had gone up and down and all around the Christian and New Age ways of manifesting my desires, reaching my full potential, becoming my higher self, and changing my life.


But nothing was really changing.


My money was bad, my relationships were bad, my attitude was bad, my health was bad.. and I was a complete stress case.


Then it hit me. The good ole internet put a video in front of my face I couldn’t help but believe in.


It told me, do nothing. Meditate in silence every single day (even if just for 30 seconds at an time) and all my problems would begin to disappear.


Um. Ch.. Sign me up pronto!


So I tried it. I tried to reach silence and magic poof my problems away.


Can you guess what happened?


Not a damn thing.



I couldn’t reach the silence! My mind would not shut up.


I definitely didn’t feel any kind of magic. I felt anger..


I had stressed myself out.


But at the end of the day when I still felt helpless, hopeless, and defeated.. What other option did I have?


The Bible says meditate, new age says meditate, science says meditate.


So I kept at it.


Day after day. I forced myself to practice.

If you are tired of being stressed and manifesting things you don’t want, I suggest you get desperate enough to teach yourself how to meditate.


What could it possibly hurt?


If taking a few minutes out of your day to ignore your responsibilities, thoughts, and feelings can poof your life better - Why not?


To be fair though, there is actually no poofing.


The secret is that being in a mental, emotional, and physical state of silence naturally reduces your stress. If you aren’t thinking, feeling, or doing.. In that moment, there cannot be anything to stress over.


In the beginning, that state of peace seams to vanish the second you end your meditation and open your eyes back up to the ‘real world’.. But the better you get at meditating, the longer that stress-free vibe hangs around. Eventually, you will convince your mind to enjoy it so much it chooses peace as it’s default mode.


When you are at peace/relieved of stress, you will think better, do better, and feel better. You will have positive, free flowing energy that helps you manifest better. You will be your own kind of magical.

Meditation Basics

If you want to give it a try, simply find a dark and quiet location where you can comfortably sit without interruption.


It may help to play soothing meditation music (easy to find on YouTube) and set an alarm that signals you to end.


To begin, just close your eyes and tell your mind, body, and soul that you are tuning them out for the next ____ minutes to meditate and you appreciate their cooperation.


Then, aim for the silence.


If you find yourself focusing on your thoughts, physical sensations in your body, or things in your environment - Recite a mantra/affirmation or redirect your focus to your in and out breath.


To end your meditation, open your eyes.


That’s all there is to it.
