It’s Okay to Have a Bad Day

It’s okay to have a bad day.

A day when nothing goes the way you expected.

A day when you’re tired, frustrated, sad, angry, or simply not yourself.

Feel it.

You don’t have to pretend you’re okay.

But remember something:

A bad moment doesn’t have to become a bad day.

And a bad day doesn’t have to become a bad week.

Sometimes one thing happens and we carry it with us for hours… or even days.

We replay it.

We think about what we should have said.

What we should have done differently.

What might happen tomorrow.

And without realizing it, we stop living today.

We spend so much of our lives worrying about the future.

What if this happens?

What if things don’t work out?

What am I going to do next?

But the truth is, none of us is guaranteed tomorrow.

The only moment we actually have is right now.

So have your bad moment.

Cry if you need to.

Be quiet.

Take a walk.

Breathe.

Let your body feel whatever it needs to feel.

And then come back.

Look around you.

Maybe someone you love is sitting beside you.

Maybe the sun is shining.

Maybe your child is laughing.

Maybe you’re drinking your favorite coffee.

Small things we sometimes miss because our minds are somewhere else.

Life is happening while we’re worrying about life.

We don’t know how much time we have here.

So don’t give one difficult moment more of your life than it deserves.

Feel it.

Learn from it.

Let it move through you.

And come back to today.

Because today is here.

And that alone makes it worth living. 🤍

Ámate. Be present.
