A Peculiar Existence exists because conventional homeschool curriculum was built for an idealized family that doesn't actually exist — one with unlimited time, energy, and resources. Real households don't run that way.

Everything here is built around a different unit of measure: capacity, not grade level. The curriculum is original and designed around the Matria Method — the parent's judgment comes first, content is built for neurodivergent minds as a strength, decolonized history and global perspectives are structural rather than bolted on, and the goal is critical thinking over memorization.
