I’m Maurice Williams, founder of About That Action Consulting and a juvenile justice professional with more than a decade of experience working directly with youth and staff.

I created the New Youth Worker Survival Guide because starting in this field can be overwhelming. There are things new staff need to know that aren’t always covered in orientation or basic training.

My goal is to give youth workers practical, real-world guidance that helps them feel more prepared, confident, and effective when working with young people.
