About The Acorn Post
I'm the one who writes the letters.
The Acorn Post started the way most good things do — a little sideways, and slower than planned. I run Birdie & Co. Paperie, and for a while that meant printable party suites and paper goods. But somewhere along the way, a rescued orphan deer mouse, who I named Pipsqueak, wandered into my life and I found myself imagining the whole world she might have come from — a village of mice, past three oaks, at the edge of a quiet pond, with a post office and a baker and a postmaster who takes his job very seriously.
That village became Clover Hollow.
I write every letter myself. I build every card, every stamp, every small paper thing that arrives in your post. Right now, most of it happens from a laptop on the road — my husband John and I are traveling the country in an RV, and the Hollow gets built one campsite at a time, one cup of tea at a time, wherever we happen to have parked for the night.
There's no team behind this. No content farm, no assembly line. Just one person who fell in love with a village that doesn't exist yet, and who is building it, by hand, a month at a time — so that a story can unfold slowly, the way the best ones do.
I believe in real hands and real time. I believe a letter is worth more when you know someone actually wrote it. And I believe that some stories are worth waiting a whole year for.
If that sounds like your kind of thing — welcome to the Hollow. I'm so glad you're here.
Become a Keeper, and let the year begin. 🌰
