About Me
I’m Adam Leonard — a storyteller, travel nurse, and creator behind Slightly Off Course.
This book was written in the middle of a real-life unraveling. A cross-country move, a promised opportunity, and a plan I trusted all fell apart in motion. What followed wasn’t a dramatic collapse, but a quiet reckoning — one that forced me to confront trust, identity, resilience, and what it actually means to choose yourself when the map disappears.
At 55, after raising my children, navigating divorce, financial resets, and years in demanding healthcare roles, I found myself standing at another crossroads. Slightly Off Course is the result of that moment — written from lived experience, not theory or motivational noise.
My work is for people who find themselves off the expected timeline, navigating detours they didn’t ask for, and questioning whether it’s too late to begin again. I believe reinvention doesn’t require perfection — it requires honesty, stillness, and the courage to walk away from what no longer fits.
Through writing, storytelling, and digital projects, I share the unpolished truth of rebuilding a life that feels like movement instead of endurance.
Sometimes the detour is the direction.
