About Advocate Studio

If your child is struggling but the school says everything looks fine, you are not alone. Many parents find themselves trying to understand special education and support systems during moments of stress, uncertainty, and urgency. Advocate Studio was created to make that process clearer and more manageable.

I'm Priscilla Mucciaccio, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and program manager with over a decade of experience working across behavioral health, education systems, and family support services. Throughout my work with schools, clinicians, and families, I repeatedly saw how difficult it was for parents to access information that professionals take for granted. Families are often expected to learn complex systems while advocating for their child at the same time.

Advocate Studio was created to bridge that gap. The resources here translate professional knowledge into practical tools parents can use immediately. These guides, templates, and checklists are designed to help you prepare for meetings, communicate more confidently, and understand what to look for so you can participate as an informed member of your child’s team.

My goal is not to replace collaboration with schools, but to help families enter conversations feeling prepared, informed, and supported. When parents understand the process, communication improves and children receive more consistent support.
