About Me
I'm Alanna Sorrensen, a social worker with graduate qualifications in forensic mental health, autism studies and theology. I'm also a long-time Agatha Christie fan with a fascination for storytelling, human behaviour and the ways stories can help us understand ourselves and others.
I'm the creator and host of The Curious Mind of Hercule Poirot, a podcast that explores Agatha Christie’s famous detective through the lenses of psychology, neurodiversity, society, faith and human behaviour. That same curiosity has led to The Mind and Method of Hercule Poirot, a book-by-book audio series that takes a closer look at the characters, relationships, clues and ideas within Christie’s novels.
I'm also the creator of Drawing Room Secrets, a storytelling card game inspired by the atmosphere of the classic manor-house mystery, designed to get people creating intriguing stories of their own.
Across these different projects, the common thread is simple: a love of stories, curiosity about people, and the belief that there is often more to discover when we look a little more closely.
