About Me
I'm Madalyn Kennedy- a wife, a mother, a believer, and a writer who is still figuring out this thing called life one day at a time.
My journey with bipolar disorder hasn't exactly been a walk in the park. It's been filled with emotional highs, exhausting lows, unanswered questions, hard lessons, and moments I wondered if I would ever fully understand my own mind. I've learned that living with a mental health condition can be complicated, especially when you're trying to balance motherhood, relationships, faith, and all the ordinary responsibilities that don't magically disappear just because you're having a difficult day.
For a long time, I struggled to put those feelings into words. Eventually, I realized writing gave me a place to put the thoughts I couldn't always say out loud. What started as a way to process my own experiences slowly became something more: a passion for sharing honest stories, breaking down stigmas, and reminding others they aren't alone.
I don't write because I have everything figured out, I write because I don't. I write for the woman who feels misunderstood, the person quietly struggling behind a smile, and anyone who has ever felt like their mind was a little louder than everyone else's.
My faith is part of my story, even when that faith has been tested. My humor is part of my survival, even when life isn't particularly funny. And my diagnosis is part of my journey, but it is not the whole story.
I believe we can talk about mental health without whispering, laugh without pretending, believe in God while asking difficult questions, and be a beautiful work in progress.
If my words make even one person feel a little less alone, then sharing my story is worth it.
