Knitty, behind the curtain

Knitty launched in 2002 -- 21 years ago! -- when the internet was very different from the social-media-infused online knitting world we have today.

Learn about Knitty’s grassroots origins, how we do what we do, and heaps of insider tidbits from the Editor/Publisher [and the woman who started Knitty], Amy Singer.

Length: 1 hour, including Q&A

O Canada!

Born in the USA in the last century, and moved to Canada in the 1960s, dual citizen and Knitty Magazine editor Amy Singer has long considered Canada her forever home.

In this lively hour, Amy will reveal her favourite things about her adopted country, and what it’s like to be an import to this occasionally frozen wasteland. She’ll also bust some myths about Canada, and share her favourite fiber sources and destinations from coast to coast, almost all of which can be visited online.

This lecture can be offered as is to non-Canadian organizations; for Canadian organizations, it's been tweaked to appeal to natives.
