About Me

Amal Yousef Mousa

is a Palestinian writer born in 1995. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Palestine in Gaza, where she graduated in 2018 with First Class Honours. Alongside her literary pursuits, Amal has four years of professional experience as an Infrastructure Design Engineer within the Design Unit at UNRWA Headquarters in Gaza.

Amal believes that writing is not merely a means of expression, but a humane message and a path to convey the truth and document reality with honesty and awareness. This novel represents her debut literary work and the first instalment in her journey as a novelist. Its events and characters are inspired by true stories experienced by real people in Gaza, in an endeavour to preserve memory and document the pain, hope, and human stories that must never be forgotten.

Amal aspires to further develop her literary work in the future, aiming to write more novels and texts in a professional style that leaves a profound impact on her readers.
