And why are Podcasts so powerful?

I would say that one of the reasons is because they can be heard anywhere: while you are relaxing on your sofa, driving your car, cooking, in bed, etc.

On the other hand, it allows you to listen without having to be looking at a screen, exposing yourself to native speakers with different accents (some are from Lisbon others from Porto, etc) and ways of communicating.

And also it gives you the opportunity to practice the language by shadowing which means you repeat while it's been said.
