Amy L. Santos was born in the Philippines. Her family migrated to America in the early ‘70’s. She obtained her nursing degree at Bloomfield College in New Jersey. She worked at various nursing areas of a hospital in New Jersey and San Diego, California. She also joined the Army Nurse Corps, and later transitioned to the Air Force Nurse Corps as a Reservist after 9/11. She became an entrepreneur and was a Legal Nurse Consultant. She also designed medical scrubs and sold them on eBay. She worked as a Nurse Case Manager with active-duty soldiers until her retirement two years ago. She loves spending time with her husband, daughters, and two grandsons. She enjoys reading, writing, listening to music, and dancing.
