Many April Knitting amigurumi crochet patterns are beginner-friendly, including selected no-sew and simple plush yarn projects.
The difficulty level varies by design, so please check the individual product page before purchasing.
Basic knowledge of crochet stitches such as single crochet, increases, decreases, and working in the round may still be required.
-
Unless otherwise stated, April Knitting crochet patterns use US crochet terminology.
Any special stitches, techniques, or abbreviations are explained in the individual pattern when needed.
-
Each pattern includes a materials list with information about:
- Recommended yarn
- Crochet hook size
- Stuffing
- Safety eyes or embroidery supplies, when required
- Additional materials used for the specific project
You can often substitute similar yarns, but changing yarn weight or hook size may change the finished size.
-
Usually, yes.
Many amigurumi patterns can be made with different yarn weights, including plush yarn or standard cotton/acrylic yarn.
Keep in mind that changing the yarn, hook size, or crochet tension may change the final size and appearance of the finished toy.
-
A no-sew crochet pattern is designed to minimize or eliminate the need to sew separate crochet pieces together.
This can make the project faster and easier, especially for crocheters who prefer simple amigurumi construction.
Please check the product description, as some designs may still require a small amount of assembly or embroidery.
-
