I’m S. C. Friedman, founder and curator of Artificial Kin. I create fictional recording artists, original music, visual identities, stories, and the creative material behind them. My background as a DJ still shapes how I approach sound, identity, and atmosphere, but Artificial Kin reaches beyond music into a larger collection of interconnected ideas and characters.

I’m a cat mom, coffee drinker, thrift hunter, and lifelong maker who prefers things with fingerprints over things that feel manufactured. Artificial Kin is human-led and AI-assisted—technology is part of the process, not the point. The ideas, direction, choices, edits, and identities begin with me.
