About Benedict XVI Institute

Founded by Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone in 2018 to pursue a unique mission: to open the door of Sacred Beauty for Catholic people in order to bring them closer to God. We pursue this mission through two great strategies: providing practical resources for more beautiful and reverent liturgies and energizing a Catholic culture of the arts. Our core vision: The greatest art, the greatest liturgy the Catholic Church has ever produced, is yet to come.

Since its founding, the Benedict XVI Institute has championed composers, visual artists, playwrights, poets, librettists, singers, musicians, and other artists whose work is dedicated to bringing sacred beauty to the Catholic people. Beyond the Masses mentioned above, the Institute has hosted dozens of events on topics ranging from poetry to the meaning of Halloween Monsters in Catholic Literature to starting a Catholic School, attracting tens

of thousands of views. The Institute has published features on Catholic Artists to raise their profiles in Catholic Communities.
