About Me

Hi, everyone!

My name is Sherri Wolf, and I started homeschooling when my granddaughter began kindergarten. It was during COVID, and at first, my main reason was simply to keep her home and safe. What started as a temporary decision turned into quite a learning experience for both of us.

One of the biggest challenges I discovered was figuring out exactly where she was academically. A child can be doing great in reading but struggling in math, or understand most of a subject while having a few important skills they missed along the way.

I spent a lot of time searching for ways to figure out what she already knew, what she still needed to learn, and where we should start. I didn't want to waste time teaching things she had already mastered, but I also didn't want to move ahead and leave gaps that could make future lessons harder.

That's why I began putting together straightforward grade-level assessments. They're designed to give you a starting point—a simple way to see which skills your child is comfortable with and which ones may need a little more attention.

Sometimes a child who is struggling doesn't need to start an entire grade over. They may simply have a few missing skills holding them back. Finding those gaps can make it much easier to know what to work on next.

Homeschooling has taught me that you don't have to have everything figured out from the beginning. Sometimes you just need a way to answer the question:

“Where is my child right now, and what should we work on next?”

I know these assessments will help your child. They're fun and easy.

If you ever have a question or run into a problem with one of my assessment pages, please send me a message. I'm always happy to help.

Warm regards,

Sherri Wolf
