About Isabella Gregoria-Georgina Baer

Isabella Gregoria-Georgina Baer, BA, MA, EMBA, Doctoral Candidate, is an international educator, organisational leader, performing artist, researcher, entrepreneur, and programme developer whose career spans more than two decades across Europe, the Americas, and Asia.

Her professional trajectory has moved across international education, performing arts, hospitality, entrepreneurship, organisational development, and leadership. She has worked within 12 international schools across the United States, Mexico, Austria, Italy, and China, contributing to programmes shaped by British and international education, IB, IGCSE, A-Level, Montessori, Reggio Emilia, IPC, IMYC, IEYC, and national educational frameworks.

Across her educational career, Isabella has taught, mentored, and supported thousands of students while developing programmes in music, drama, theatre, opera, debate, orchestral and choral work, competitions, festivals, major productions, and whole-school events. Her experience includes building performing arts programmes from the ground up, leading multidisciplinary teams, designing curriculum and learning pathways, managing large-scale productions, and connecting artistic excellence with wider institutional strategy.

Her background in the performing arts is equally extensive. Trained in Opera and Music Education, Isabella holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the Conservatorio Statale di Musica “Giuseppe Martucci” in Salerno, Italy, and has also studied acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. Her professional performance experience has included opera, theatre, film, voice-over, concerts, and international performance work, including appearances at Carnegie Hall and the Vatican.

Before and alongside her educational leadership career, Isabella also worked extensively in hospitality, organisational management, events, public relations, client relations, marketing, staffing, budgeting, and operations. She served in senior leadership within the hospitality sector and developed practical experience in managing people, resources, services, budgets, events, customer experience, and complex organisational systems. This cross-sector background later became an important influence on her thinking about leadership, culture, service, accountability, and institutional sustainability.

Isabella is also an entrepreneur. She founded and directed a music school in Vienna, developing programmes, managing operations, working with families and students, and building an educational organisation from the ground up. Her professional work today continues through BaerEdFin, where her interests bring together education, leadership, finance, governance, organisational development, programme design, and institutional sustainability.

She holds an Executive MBA in Strategic Leadership and is pursuing doctoral research focused on financial sustainability and institutional resilience in international K–12 education. Her research explores the relationship between educational finance, governance, accountability, resource allocation, institutional strategy, stakeholder interests, staff retention, programme quality, and sustainable growth.

Her current professional interests include leadership, organisational culture, financial sustainability, governance, educational strategy, programme development, communication, psychological safety, intercultural intelligence, staff development, institutional resilience, and the design of systems that allow people and organisations to thrive.

A multilingual international professional, Isabella works across English, Spanish, Italian, German, French, and Chinese, and her career has been shaped by years of working across different cultures, educational systems, professional sectors, and organisational environments.
