About Me

Chef Lynne, known as “The Partea Chef”, started her journey with tea around the kitchen table with her mother and two sisters. In 2003, after a mass layoff in the banking industry, Lynne attended Hudson County Culinary Arts Institute where she received certificates in Garde Manger and Baking/Pastry Arts. In 2004, in honor of their late mother and grandmother (Edna Marie and Emma Bell), Lynne along with her two sisters launched Belamari Tea Room (named in honor of their matriarchs). A full -service restaurant dedicated to tea service, Lynne served as the Chef. They closed their doors in May of 2013 and functioned as a commissary kitchen until closing permanently at the end of 2013.

In 2016 Lynne created “The Partea Chef”, a niche business focusing on tea, tea party catering, and desserts. Lynne pays tribute to her late father having incorporated his favorite color green in her logo.

In 2016 Lynne also launched an eCommerce business and in 2018 opened an Etsy Store.  Baking and teaching are her passions.  She hopes to pass on much of what she has learned to others.
