Antonio Console
Antonio Console is an Italian UEFA A licensed football coach, born in 1989 and based in the Czech Republic, where he has lived since 2011. He is also certified in Sport Psychology and Communication, two areas that have become an integral part of his approach to coaching, learning and player development.
Antonio began his coaching journey in 2014, building on a lifelong connection with football and the experience of ASD Atletico Bari, the football school founded with his father in Bari, Italy, in 2013.
He has been coaching in the Czech Republic since 2015, working within the youth development environments of Dukla Praha, Sigma Olomouc, 1. SK Prostějov and FC Zbrojovka Brno, where he currently coaches the WU18 team.
Throughout his career, Antonio has worked across the full spectrum of player development — from young children to adult players, in both men's and women's football. In 2024, he earned his UEFA A coaching licence, continuing a professional journey driven by practical experience, education and a constant desire to learn and evolve.
His coaching philosophy combines a modern and innovative approach to football with a strong focus on communication, psychology and the learning process. He believes that coaching goes far beyond transferring technical or tactical knowledge: it is about creating the right environment for players to understand the game, make decisions, take responsibility, build confidence and progressively express their full potential.
This is the approach Antonio brings into his daily work on the pitch and within the club environment. Coaching remains at the centre of his professional activity: working directly with players and staff allows him to continuously test, question and develop his ideas in real football environments.
Alongside his work within the club, Antonio also supports other coaches through consulting and mentorship, helping them reflect on their own coaching process and become more intentional, efficient and effective in their daily practice. His aim is not to tell coaches exactly how they should coach, but to help them better understand their own methods, improve the way they communicate and teach, and find solutions that fit their players and their environment.
From this vision, Antonio created BeTOP Football, a project dedicated to sharing football knowledge, experiences and practical resources with the wider coaching community. Through books, educational content, mentorship, consulting and other services, BeTOP Football extends beyond his daily work at club level with one central purpose: helping coaches become better at helping their players.
His book, Complex Training in Football, is one of the foundations of this project. It brings together Antonio's coaching experiences, ideas and vision of football, learning and player development. Rather than presenting a rigid methodology or claiming to provide a single correct way to coach, the book offers concepts, practical tools and reflections that every coach can adapt to their own context.
Its ambition is simple: to give every coach who reads it something that can help them become a better coach.
Across his daily work with players, his mentorship of other coaches, BeTOP Football and his work as an author, Antonio's objective remains the same:
to help coaches create the best possible conditions for their players to express their full potential.
