Hi, I’m Sheila Crittenden, founder of Sheila’s Beauty Star Salon, Beauty Star Hair Academy, and Beauty Star Digital Shop.

My journey in the beauty industry began in 2000, and in 2006, I took a major step toward my dream by opening my first salon. With more than 26 years of experience as a licensed cosmetologist and 20 years as a salon owner, I’ve dedicated my career to helping women look beautiful, feel confident, and recognize their own potential.

Over the years, my passion for beauty has grown into something much bigger than providing hair services. I became an educator, entrepreneur, author, and creator because I wanted to share the knowledge and experience I’ve gained throughout my journey.

Through Beauty Star Digital Shop, I create practical beauty guides, educational resources, checklists, and digital tools designed to help women care for their hair, expand their knowledge, and build confidence.

I believe beauty is more than appearance—it can be a source of confidence, education, opportunity, and independence.

My mission is simple: to use my experience to educate, inspire, and empower others.
