I'm Yorkshire born and bred and I home educated my children for 30 years using an eclectic approach that centred on their needs and interests. As I facilitated their learning, I rediscovered my own love of learning and studied with the Open University to gain a Certificate of Mathematics and a BSc Honours.

I started creating resources for my own children because everything seemed to be either US-centric or school-centric. I now use them with children that I tutor. I've been tutoring for 12 years now and I love it.

Beyond The Book Education was born because I wanted to help fellow home educators cultivate curiosity, encourage ideas and nurture a love of learning in their families, just as I have done in mine. All whilst making memories to last a lifetime.
