I’ve spent more than 20 years working in financial services and have also studied towards professional financial adviser qualifications. Alongside my professional background, personal finance and financial independence have been longstanding interests of mine.

I originally built these tools for my own use - to understand my finances, test different scenarios and explore when full-time work might become optional. Beyond The Nine To Five grew from the idea that the same approach could also be useful to other people.
