I’m Brigitte, the human who’s most often found hiding behind something—whether it be a book, a mug of tea, or my computer screen. (I’m working on that, I guess.) I’m married to a man whose golden retriever nature perfectly balances my black-cat-under-the-stairs nature, and together we have three children.

I’m a writer—which you knew—of high stakes stories full of heart. Here you’ll find fiercely loyal friendships and sibling bonds, heroic characters with occasional rough edges, sweet (not spicy) romance, a good helping of humor, and lots of Stabbing. Families in my books are a given, as is fluency in sarcasm. You might also encounter overtones of hope—because whether I’m writing kingdom fantasy or dystopian sci-fi, I’m always striving to shed light in dark places.
