The-No-Need-to-Read-the-Book Workshop

I read the books. You bring the thinking.

Five Friday mornings. Fifteen books. No reading required.

Every other Friday from April 17 to June 12, we meet at 8:30am Eastern for 45 minutes before your workday begins.

I have read the books. You bring the thinking.

Each session covers three books: a management/leadership/strategy classic, a contemporary work, and a curveball (from somewhere you wouldn’t expect). I don't announce the titles in advance. What I tell you instead is who wrote them: for example, a former IRS investigator, a Colorado recluse, and a CEO who built something that outlasted her.

I chose the books because of the questions they raise: relevant, worth sitting with, and that benefit from a conversation.

Here is how each session works:

I brief each book for five minutes on what it is, why it matters, and what questions it raises.

You then move into a small random group of three for ten minutes to wrestle with those questions alongside peers.

We do that three times.

You leave at 9:15 knowing three books you didn’t know an hour earlier, having thought hard about and discussed your live professional challenges.

All session recordings are available to every participant.

One flat fee of $100 to join any or all five sessions. Less than you would pay for the books… and the reading.

This workshop is for discerning managers who would rather think than sit through another round of tips, tricks, and how-to’s.
