About Me

Felicia Peters

Felicia Peters is a nurse, author, storyteller, and woman who has spent much of her life caring for others while quietly carrying a story of her own.

For more than three decades, Felicia has dedicated her professional life to nursing and serving others. Her career has given her the opportunity to witness people during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives—and has taught her lessons about compassion, strength, perseverance, and the human capacity to survive difficult seasons.

But there is another story she has carried for decades.

At the age of sixty, Felicia made the courageous decision to begin telling it.

Broken But Not Buried is her deeply personal memoir of childhood trauma, survival, resilience, and finding her voice after years of silence. Through her story, she revisits the experiences that shaped her childhood and explores how those experiences continued to influence the woman she became.

This is not simply a story about pain.

It is a story about survival.

It is a story about finding strength when you don’t know where strength will come from.

It is a story about learning that being broken by what happened to you does not mean you have to remain buried beneath it.

Felicia writes for the little girl she once was—and for anyone who has ever felt silenced, forgotten, or alone.

Her hope is that readers will see themselves in these pages and understand one important truth:

What happened to you may be part of your story, but it does not have to be the end of your story.

Today, Felicia is reclaiming her voice one chapter at a time.

And this is only the beginning.
