Mr. P noticed it on a Tuesday.
A small muddy footprint. Just inside the door. He stood very still and looked at it for a long time.
He checked his boots. Clean. Of course they were clean.

He tidied it without saying anything, because that is what Mr. P does. But before he put the cloth away, he looked at the shape of it. Small. Enthusiastic, somehow.
The next morning there were three more. And a sticky note on his favourite smooth grey stone that said: "Hello!! I named this one Jenny! Hope that's ok. — P" He folded the note very carefully and put it in his breast pocket. He did not throw it away.

Her name might start with the same letter, but she is not like Mr. P.
Mr. P kept things tidy. Deliberate. Quiet.
Pippa Puddlehop has entered the studio with both feet and zero warning. She operates on a system that is part curiousity, part chaos, part completely serious belief that you never know which puddle is the good puddle. (She tests every single one. Both feet. Every time.)
One leaves pocket finds. One leaves footprints.
One appreciates well-timed silence. One just gasped at a cloud shaped like a shoe.
One has opinions about ink quality. One named a worm Sir Wiggles and genuinely cares how his day is going.
They are very different kinds of magic.
And somehow, Mr. P keeps saving her sticky notes. Both kinds of magic live here.
April belongs to Pippa Puddlehop — monster host of The Oopsie Spell Club, professional puddle tester, namer of things, follower of curious trails.

She'll be the main character around here in April. Maybe expect a lot of adventures...
The Oopsie Spell Club is a monthly membership of printable magic for kids, families, and grown-ups who still believe. Each month: one theme, one complete collection of whimsical printable downloads, one monster who makes it all feel like an adventure.
