Once upon a time...

in a life that felt a little too loud and a little too long, a woman sat down with a pencil and accidentally invented a monster.

She hadn't planned to. She had other things to do. Responsible things. Sensible things. Adult things. Like doing laundry, washing the dishes, finding a job. The kind of things that don't involve giving a small colorful creature a name, a personality, and an opinion about how many flowers to give away in day.

And yet, she picked up a pen anyway.

The monster that started it all

His name is Cooper Petalpop.

He's kind, energetic, and absolutely refuses to be anything other than delightful. He gives out exactly seven flowers per day because he believes it is the lucky number of the bees.

Cooper is a flower sprinkling ball of sunshine, spreading kindness with every step. Quiet by nature, but loud in love.

Suddenly, another one was created. Then another. Then another.

This was either a creative breakthrough, or a problem. Maybe both.

Creator of The Jittery Raven, Keeper of The Monster Emporium.

I love: running long distances, coffee, drawing fun things, spending time alone, did I mention coffee?

In 2026 I decided to make a change. Life was heavy, stressful, and depressing. I finally made a decision to stop doing things that stole my spark, and started doing something different that felt genuinely, ridiculously, wonderfully mine.

The monsters showed up, almost immediately.

The Monster Emporium was not in the original plan. There was no original plan.

There was just a pen, a lot of coffee, and a growing suspicion that the world needed more friendly monsters and fewer things that made your shoulders tense up near your ears.

So I built a little world. Slowly. With intention. One curious creature at a time. Cooper came first.

The Original Six

After Cooper came to life, he obviously needed a friend. So Sir Wibbleton J Wobble showed up, then Zibbo, Bingle, Fizzwick and Madeline.

They called themselves The Snuggle and Scribble Crew.

A group of six monsters made to inspire, help you feel seen, bring joy, and just bring a little bit of silliness to your day.

Then Amorae Oopsworth arrived and immediately started organizing a membership club. Nobody asked her to, she just felt it needed doing.

Mr. Pennington followed, quietly disapproving of the glitter situation.

Then Pippa Puddlehop showed up last Tuesday in yellow rubber boots, completely soaked, absolutely unbothered.

And every month... a new one makes a dramatic entrance into The Monster Emporium.

The Emporium has been wonderfully chaotic ever since

Why does this exist?

Because the world is a lot right now.

Because sometimes you need somewhere that doesn't ask you to be productive or optimized or caught up on the news.

Because joy is not frivolous.

Whimsy is not childish.

And monsters, the friendly kind anyway, have a way of reminding you that strange things can still be soft and kind.

This is that place. The kettle is on. The floorboards will creak when you walk in. The monsters will pretend not to notice you.

They will absolutely notice you.
