Mr. Pennington is here!!

Despite his slow unsteady walk... Mr. Pennington has arrived in the studio!

This last week, he has been walking the edges. Peaking in doorways, shuffling the hallways. Not announcing himself, but you can hear the soft clicks of his two canes he walks with. Not interrupting the clean up attempt of the glitter and papers from Valentines day. Just… noticing.

Mr. Pennington.

He refuses to give us his first name, but says you can call him Mr. P for short.

He's the Collector of Pocket Finds.

Always noticing magic when others walk past it.

He does not hoard. He curates. Memories, he says, are often disguised as objects.

He finds things that people drop or forget about. He says they are moments tucked into corners.

He's more of a quiet presence. Walks a little slow (tho age might have something to do with that...) He doesn't do glitter. He doesn't do dramatic entrances. Just the soft sense that someone had straightened the bookshelves and adjusted the lamp ever so slightly.

He is observant. Particular. The sort of monster who notices when a teacup is slightly out of place and fixes it without being asked.

He has opinions about ink quality.

He appreciates well timed silence.

He is not loud magic.

He is deliberate magic.

He says things like, "Nothing found is accidental." "Pocket it. It matters." "Small things, strong magic." "This came with a moment." "Carry a little courage." "Quiet magic counts."

He carries a small box labeled, quite neatly, Pocket Finds. Inside are the things most would overlook. A bus ticket, a mini dinasour figurine. A pressed leaf. A scrap envelope someone left behind. He is not loud magic, and he refuses anything with glitter. His magic is a bit more deliberate magic.

His has a very specific “Spell Style”. He doesn’t demand, or tell you what to do, but offers spells that look like a card he hands you that says: Carry this today. He believes that many oopsies are actually misread moments. What feels like a mistake often leaves something valuable behind. Even wrong turns drop clues. While Amorae says: “It’s okay that this went wrong.” He says: “Look what came with it.”

This March, he is your host inside the Oopsie Spell Club.

He has prepared a collection, of course. Carefully. Intentionally.

• Stickers inspired by his pocket sayings

• Activity sheets designed to help you notice what others miss

• A coloring page drawn in his steady, particular style

• And an image you can use to create your very own Pocket Find Box

Because he believes you should have somewhere to keep the small things that matter.

A receipt from a good day.

A note you almost threw away.

A reminder that you were braver than you felt.

Around here, even the smallest object can carry strong magic.
