I’ve been out of the studio for a few days.
Not long, just long enough for things to feel slightly different when I returned. You know the feeling. The door opens, the light falls across the desk a little differently, and you can almost sense that something has happened while you were away.
The coffee mug is back in its usual spot. (But, the teacup is missing...) The sketchbook is open again. Notes are scattered on the desk. But the studio itself… feels tidier.
Suspiciously tidier.
Shelves have been straightened. Papers stacked neatly into small, careful piles. Even the glitter situation appears to be under control, which is impressive considering glitter has a tendency to behave like a long-term resident rather than a craft supply. (I'm sure Mr. P had something to do with that, as he does not do glitter.)

Naturally, the monsters claim innocence. Still, someone clearly took the time to put things in order.
Which brings me to Mr. Pennington. You met him a few days ago.
The collector of pocket finds and quiet curiosities. The kind of monster who notices the small wonders others might walk past without a second thought. A button left on the sidewalk. A perfectly shaped pebble. A scrap of paper with an interesting pattern.
He doesn’t hoard these little treasures. He gathers them carefully. Observes them. Appreciates them. And occasionally shares them.
This month, Mr. Pennington has stepped forward as the March host of the Oopsie Spell Club, bringing with him a collection of creative surprises for the studio’s curious visitors.
Inside the March envelope you’ll find:
- A printable wall art piece
- A set of whimsical stickers
- Activity sheets to explore
- A coloring page
- And a small bit of pocket-find magic inspired by Mr. Pennington himself
It’s a gentle collection. The sort of creative bundle that invites you to slow down, notice small details, and spend a quiet moment making something. Which, if you ask Mr. Pennington, is often where the most interesting discoveries happen. If you’d like to see what he’s gathered this month, the March Oopsie Spell Club envelope is now available inside The Monster Emporium.
And knowing Mr. Pennington, he’s already keeping an eye out for the next curious little treasure.
