I'm Steve, the founder of a Surrey based construction & consultancy business & more recently the creator of The Contractor Protection Series.

My career has been built around the construction industry, working both on the tools and in construction consultancy, estimating, surveying repairs and project management.

Over the years I've seen first-hand that many of the biggest problems on building projects aren't necessarily caused by poor workmanship—they're caused by misunderstandings, unclear expectations and a lack of proper documentation.

I created The Contractor Protection Series which includes The Contractors Quote Protection, to give builders, plumbers, electricians, roofers and other tradespeople the practical documents I wish more contractors had available.

Some of the templates can be sent with your estimates or quotes and some can be used whilst the project is ongoing.

Every template has been developed from real-world experience and designed to deal with situations that arise on genuine construction projects, not hypothetical examples.

My aim is simple: to help contractors protect their businesses, improve communication with clients and present themselves professionally from quotation through to project completion.
