Bushra, Translator

I am a freelance translator and blogger. I have been working in the field of translation since 2009.
For the past 7 years, I focused on the translation of gender and women's issues. In 2015, I have been awarded 'Grand Atlas' Prize of Translation granted by the Embassy of France in Morocco for my translation of “Women and Men in the Qur’an: Which Equality?” of the Islamic feminist writer Asma Lamrabet from French into Arabic.
Lately, I published the Dictionary of Women's Studies from an Islamic Perspective in Arabic. It was part of my master's thesis on gender terminology defended in 2016. I also contributed an article on the translation of Islamic feminism to a co-authored book titled "Translating Women: different voices and new horizons" published by Routledge in 2017.
