Hi, I'm Lauren. I'm a nobody. I'm not a theologian or Bible scholar.

I'm just a young woman, a mother, a daughter, a sister, a partner. Someone who started their faith journey in adulthood and had absolutely no clue where to begin.

Someone who remembers what it felt like to hear Christians talking about the Bible and have absolutely no idea what they were talking about, and was too embarrassed to ask. "I should know this, shouldn't I?"

I wrote this book because I wished someone had simply sat down with me and explained it without complicated language or assumptions. Like they were explaining it to a complete novice.

So that's what I've tried to create:

a conversation with a friend. Something helpful for people of all stages of their journey.
