My name is Eileen. I launched Cniotáil Láimhe (Irish for 'hand knitting') in 2019, when I returned to knitting after a long hiatus and wanted to bring my study of Gaeilge (Irish language) into my daily life. I've been a knitter since I was a child and recently began designing. My patterns bring Irish language, landscape, history and culture together with knitting to create modern pieces that pay tribute to the tradition of the craft.
