Who we are and what we do

We are Vanessa Ward, a qualified animal behaviourist, and Victoria Jones, a certified dog trainer. Together we run Calm Canines Academy, based in South Wales, supporting guardians of reactive, excitable, and anxious dogs both in person and online.

Our work focuses on handler education, strengthening the human–dog bond, and helping guardians understand their dog as the individual they are.
