Follow ISO 17025 accreditation

At Calmeasures, accuracy is the cornerstone of our calibration and measurement services. Accuracy represents how well a measured value agrees with a recognized reference standard or established value based on accepted physical and chemical principles. In the field of coating thickness measurement, however, there are no theoretical constants or formulas that can directly determine accuracy. Instead, accuracy is verified through comparisons with known reference standards.

National Metrological Institutes (NMIs), such as US NIST, provide a limited selection of certified coating thickness standards. For coating thickness and material composition standards that lack certified references from NIST or other NMIs, Calmeasures employs comparisons with alternative measurement methods to ensure accuracy. Our approach is to validate our measurements through direct comparison with congruent standards and methods, ensuring the highest level of precision.

As part of our commitment to achieving ISO 17025 accreditation, we continuously review and compare our measurement results with other trusted methods and laboratories. This annual evaluation process guarantees that our measurements meet or exceed industry standards.
