Camp Ruff Ruff Foundation
Humane education and behavior‑safety resources for adopters, fosters, shelters, and the community.Free, evidence‑based guides to support calm transitions and safer homes.
The Camp Ruff Ruff Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to improving the welfare, safety, and long‑term success of dogs in our communities. After more than 16 years working directly with families, shelters, rescues, and behavior‑challenged dogs, we saw the same gap everywhere: people want to help dogs, but they often lack clear, humane, real‑world guidance they can trust.
Our mission is to close that gap by providing free, accessible behavior‑education resources for adopters, fosters, shelters, and community partners. Every guide we create is built to reduce stress, prevent early behavior issues, and support calm, safe transitions—whether a dog is entering a new home, decompressing after shelter life, or navigating the challenges of daily living.
We focus on practical, evidence‑based information that anyone can use, regardless of experience. Our work includes safe‑handling education, stress‑reduction strategies, behavior‑prevention tools, and community programs designed to support both dogs and the people who care for them. By making this knowledge freely available, we aim to strengthen families, empower shelters and rescues, and improve outcomes for dogs across the region.
The Foundation exists to ensure that no dog is failed simply because someone didn’t have access to the right information at the right time. Humane education saves lives, and we’re committed to making it available to everyone.
