Rule 2 - Desire, Vision, & Focus Move Your Bus In The Right Direction

You are now the driver of Your Bus. You have gotten into the Driver’s Seat. Now what does one do?

I have always believed in having family discussions. Now more than ever with having just become a single mother and all decisions changing not just my life but our life together as a family. There was no other choice but to have a family meeting. This family meeting being probably the most important meeting we have ever had.

We gathered around the kitchen table to have our family meeting/discussion on what we were going to do next. (Honestly we only had two choices to choose from, but I still wanted the kids input as to what we were going to do. They deserved to be a part of this decision making process) The first choice was to move into the house my father had left me after he passed away. The second choice was to hit the road and travel to see not just friends and family, but to also meet new people at the business seminars I wanted to attend. Well the vote was unanimous and off we went — On the Road!!!

With the desire for a better life for my children (as well as myself), the vision of traveling across the country to visit family, friends, and make new family friends; I gained the focus necessary to prep 2 houses to sell. We downsized into a 10x10 storage unit, sold off everything else that wasn’t tied down, and learned quickly what was needed and what was not needed for this new adventure in our lives. We packed what we needed to keep with us (important documents, clothes, books, current paperwork, etc) all in the van and inside a 5x8 U-Haul trailer. Then we hit the road. Our first destination was Moreno Valley, California to stay with my sister for awhile. From there the travels just continued. I must say that my children have been able to stick their feet into the Atlantic Ocean and into the Pacific Ocean. What an experience for anyone.

You may be asking how that desire, vision, and focus worked out…

Well, 4 of my 6 children are adults now (at the time of this writing) and I must say that the experience was a Blessing for all of us. The adult children are all successful in their own rights. They have all Overcome and Transformed into Amazing Adults that would make any parent proud. The 2 still at home are still feeling out what it is they want to do and who they want to be when they grow up. With the examples that their older siblings have been setting, no matter what they choose they will choose wisely.

I’m thankful for those 3 years of strong desire, vision, and focus to be able to provide the amazing opportunities I was able to provide them. To let them know that no matter what it is that they want to do when they grow up — They Can Do It!!!

Our past does not define us. Our past does not have to dictate our future. Just like that trauma that this family experienced did not define us or dictate our future…

Allow me this time to Encourage You and Inspire You to step out of your comfort zone. Find your Desire and don’t let it go. Gather around others who can share in your vision. Find the skillsets that will help you stay focused and on target so that You Can manifest that Desire and Vision into Reality…

If this family Can Do It, I know You Can Do It Too!!!
