Rule 3 - Fuel Your Ride With Positive Energy

There is a question that I often get when people find out that not only am I a single mom, but a single mom of six children. That question asked of me is: “How do you do “it”?” Even though I’m not sure that “it” they are speaking of directly. I presume doing all I do with six kids in tow. Traveling, Homeschooling, Business Seminars, Well-mannered Kids, or is it “How do I stay so positive?”.

You see by this time I was not only a Driver with a Desire, Vision, and Focus, but I was also traveling across the country in a 15-pack, E350 Ford Econoline van. I was also towing a 34' travel trailer behind me. Yes all while traveling from seminar to seminar. Spending short periods of time here and there with family and friends.

Honestly one of the first few seminars I went to I was asked by the speaker (after I told her what went on in my life), “How is it that you still have a smile on your face?” To which I answered, “I have God, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit, what does he have”. With that she nodded and understood exactly what I was speaking of.

Some of you may be asking; “Lesia, how did you do “it”?” This “it” being my positive attitude. This “it” I did with positive energy. First I did the best that I could do with what I had at the time. Second I did the best I could with what was left. I had to remain positive through it all. I had six sets of eyes watching every move I made. Watching to see how mom handled the tragedy/trauma. I did it all through positive books, positive movies, positive videos, positive people, and positive spaces. I made our time as enjoyable as I could. I also believe that life is an adventure. So I made our life an adventure.

Life is what we make of it. Choosing Positivity was the only choice for me.

The seminars we attended; people would speak amazing words and wisdom into my children and over my children. Who wouldn’t want that? Especially after having just experienced a traumatic event…

Positivity through and through. Always seeing the glass half full instead of half empty. I am always looking for the silver lining in all things.

Food For Thought: Think for just a moment or two about how your life would be if more people had spoken positivity into your life and over your life…
