Hello and welcome!

My name is Carly, and I am an art and English educator with a passion for writing, drawing, anime, watercolor, music, and language. I have a bachelor's in art education and a minor in English education. I have been working with students since 2011 and have been an art teacher since 2014.

My main specialty is integrating different types of subject matter and technology into my lesson plans, in an effort to offer homeschool families an opportunity to teach their students the minimum state standards at home.

In my lessons, you should expect to see an integration of art and other subject matter, a step-by-step drawing tutorial, how-to references, educational YouTube videos, and exciting, fun facts about what is being drawn.

In my classroom, your student should expect to experience a safe and welcoming environment where everyone can take risks without judgment or worry, and all questions are welcome. Building your students' confidence and self-esteem is my top priority. Students from all levels and backgrounds should expect to feel welcome in our classroom.

When I am not teaching, I am spending time with my daughter, writing, listening to music, or exploring the world via travel. My favorite things to do are draw, write books, and cook.
