Andrei Pricope graduated from UK’s Royal Northern College of Music (BMusRNCM, Hons.), and Northern Illinois University (M.M., Performer Certificate). His main cello teachers were Hannah Roberts, Ulrich Heinen and Marc Johnson (Vermeer Quartet). Andrei has performed throughout Europe and the US, and has appeared in masterclasses with Janos Starker, Ralph Kirshbaum, Karine Georgian, and Raya Garbousova, among many others. As an orchestral musician, he has performed under Sir Georg Solti, Zubin Mehta, Daniel Barenboim, Christoph Eschenbach, Pierre Boulez, and Michael Gielen. Andrei maintains a cello studio in Chicago.
