Folklore from around the world has always soothed me. I love the way conflict resolutions are offered during storytelling. My childhood was often unpredictable and violent; growing up on Chicago's southside, I had to be cunning on public transportation with my little brother in tow.
Often I felt that I was only able to survive because guardian angels were protecting me. I dreamt of my ancestors, and when I grew up, I began to research ancient people's lessons.
